The London International Youth Science Forum is generously awarding a scholarship that covers full registration costs for a year 12 or Year 13 Maori student to attend the London International Youth Science Forum in July.

The cost of international travel will be covered by the Talented School Students Award Fund, which is administered by the Royal Society of New Zealand.

Māori students who apply should have a passion and aptitude for the sciences and be confident in Te Reo Maori.  Applicants must have a good awareness of tikanga and be confident about sharing some of their knowledge at the London International Youth Science Forum.

The theme for LYISF in 2017 is “Science - Making Life Better”. Participants will attend lectures and demonstrations from leading scientists, visit research centres, scientific institutions and world-class laboratories and universities.

Applications close on 15 March and applicants must complete the application form and include all the documentation required.  Visit: http://royalsociety.org.nz/teaching-learning/international-science-opportunities-for-students-offered-by-the-royal-society-of-new-zealand-in-2017/
